INDUSTRIAL HEAT & POWER

Emissions-free Electricity & Industrial-grade Heat

247Solar Plants™ offer 24/7 operation with up to 100% renewables, providing both emission-free electricity and industrial-grade heat. They work with all power technologies, easily handling surge loads, to produce electricity without emissions, using only ambient-pressure super-heated air. Because their turbines can also burn a variety of fuels including natural gas or 100% hydrogen, they can completely replace diesel gensets in many industrial applications.

Combined heat and power (CHP)

247Solar Plants™ can provide both electricity and industrial grade heat as required by a particular industrial application.  250℃ exhaust air from the system’s turbines is suitable for heating water, absorption chilling, or other uses. The system’s solar collector produces heat of 900-1000 that can be provided directly to industrial processes.

A blended outcome

A blended outcome can also be deployed where some hot air between 250℃ and 1000℃ is routed to industrial processes, while the remainder is used to produce power. Stored heat can be used to balance heat production with loads or convert heat to power when needed.

From Wasted Resources to Revenue Streams (W2P)

The 247Solar’s Heat2Power™ turbine or HeatStorE™ battery technology can turn waste heat to power (W2P), by producing electricity from high temperature industrial exhaust. Now any facility that produces hot exhaust above 900℃ (1650℉) can convert this otherwise-wasted resource into electricity to help power operations or to sell to the grid as an additional revenue stream.

Lower Power Costs with Load Shifting

247Solar technologies help facilities to balance their power supplies and loads. Our long-duration storage helps eliminate industrial demand charges by capturing excess power when rates are low and shifting it to peak demand times when rates are higher.

Ideal Solution for Off-grid Mines

Achieving high levels of renewable energy is a challenge for off-grid mines in remote locations where intermittent PV, costly batteries and dirty diesel provide an incomplete solution. When combined with PV or wind plus batteries, 247Solar technologies offer a simple, reliable off-grid solution for continuous clean electricity that can eliminate the need for diesel gensets and reduce fuel costs 70-90%.

Compelling economics

247Solar Plants™ provide highly reliable, uninterrupted power for mining, processing, and ancillary operations, and easily handle surge loads. Their modular design means that they can be added in phases, allowing for staged financing and the gradual replacement of gensets. And they can be scaled to any capacity.

Simple components, rapid construction

247Solar Plants™ use no water or steam for operations—just super-heated air—and operate at atmospheric pressure. They are constructed with pre-engineered, factory-built components with few moving parts for low maintenance and rapid, low-cost deployment to mining operations.
